Tom Stanton, legendary guitarist of the Surf Kings, is offering lessons for the
beginner to intermediate players. Tom specializes in all the classic electric guitar
styles from clean to mean, from beautifully expressed solos to full shred leads.
Tom also teaches acoustic folk/rock guitar rhythm and lead styles.
A personal lesson plan will be built around each student that will guide them
to where they want to go in the shortest and most efficient time possible.
From basic fundamentals for the beginner to developing styles and techniques
of the pros for the more advanced.
As you advance you will learn how to develop your own sound and style.
How to get tone, how to get the most from your amp, how to use outboard effects
like distortion pedals, reverbs, delays, and all the rest of those fun goodies!
Learn how to develop and write your own songs, how to work within a
group or band, from live performing to recording tips and tricks in the studio.

Tom specializes in classic to modern guitar styles, his influences are
Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, David Gilmore and host
of other greats of the classic and modern rock era! Tom covers all kinds
of rhythm, picking and lead styles including use of fingers, hammer on's
pull off's finger tapping, harmonics, vibrato, palm muting, string bending,
bottleneck slide guitar, alternate tunings, and much more.
What Tom does not teach is Jazz, Country or Classical styles.
